Dear Lord...dream setlist.

As I said in the other post I'm not that thrilled about the setlist either. Not that it's not good but I've seen Moloko live - and Róisín as well this summer and she blew me away. I like Moloko. But anything from Róisín as a solo artist surpasses everything they ever done (ok, maybe not a few and I'm glad I Want You is on the set).

So I think it's a bit disappointing for her to ditch all the brilliant stuff from Ruby Blue - come on, three songs only? - in favor of Moloko stuff.

That being said I'm still anxiously looking forward for the concert tomorrow night.

this is indeed a great setlist! I can't wait for HUXLEY IN BERLIN!!

I recently saw a concert poster in an underground station, you don't see me jumping that often :D

I'm quite happy with that setlist, because i've seen her 3 times this years, with more or less the same setlist each time.

I have never seen Moloko live, so...That's ok for me. It's too bad that Forever More has disappear, that song was really one the most intense moment of the show.

I hope it will be the same setlist for the Brussels show.

Nuno, I'll happily disagree with you.

I think Roisin's solo work is neither better nor worse than the Moloko catalogue...it's a continuation, a graduation of her life and talent.

The Moloko music was hot as shit, especially the first two albums. Have you even listened to them before? Roisin's lyrics are bat shit heady with style. Glamor raps and thumpy humpy beats. Ain't nothing like it, honey. I'd pay big bucks to see that recreated.

Ruby Blue is a phenomenal record, and I think she should incorporate it as much as possible. But I think it's a blessing that she's dipping into this past territory with her current Overpowered treats. It's going to give a great vibe to these already out-of-this-world shows.

I'm sure you'll change your tune...

Don't get me wrong. I like her work with Moloko A LOT but I think she's superior by her own. Not only the music but her whole persona as a whole seems a lot stronger when she's on her own, doing her own thing.

And it's not like I don't want to listen to those Moloko songs. I even find it interesting and that she didn't go for the obvious singles. The thing I'm disappointed about is that those songs are taking the place of songs from her own solo catalogue. Ruby Blue is almost absent and is such a glorious album. If she sang those songs plus a bunch of ones from Ruby Blue I'd be the happiest bitch on earth but we can't be there for 3 hours. Unfortunately.

I'll report back tomorrow night after the concert hehe. I bet I'll be entranced anyways.

DAY FOR NIGHT LIVE!!!!

DAY FOR NIGHT

DAY FOR NIGHT
DAY FOR NIGHT

I despise living in the 3rd world.

it's a great f.cking setlist. for those poor suckers of us who never saw moloko live, this is a dream....can't wait for london

I'm glad to see her doing some Moloko stuff instead of just leaving it all behind forever, and it's good that she's doing it 'cos people who never got to see Moloko live will get a taste of it. However, I reckon there were a few too many Moloko songs in there, perhaps. It seems like this setlist is a bit more 'greatest hits' - not like before, which was mostly made up of Overpowered songs. With this setlist, there's a mix - Moloko, Ruby Blue, Overpowered. I suppose you can like it or dislike it, depending on which way you look at it. As a greatest hits kind of tour, it's great. As only an Overpowered tour, not so good. But I mean, this is like the second leg of the tour. She's probably tired of Overpowered.

I'm really pleased to see Dr. Zee on there!

I thought she performed Over & Over as well....

Looking forward to november 23th!
(but she should do Cry baby too, that was/is such a good opener!!)

i wouldnt call it a greatest hits setlist, no 'the time is now', no 'sing it back', no 'familiar feeling', no 'forever more'

i'm surprised but not disappointed...

renato, exactly my thoughts after the concert tonight...

"No cry baby
no forever more"

I was eagerly awaiting either cry baby or forever more... but... :(
still it was so nice and my feet hurt like I can't tell you :D

I take it all back.

It was freaking amazing.

Setlist was basically the same.

She's a God.

Over and out.

I love Roisin and Moloko equally but generally seem to prefer Moloko music (at least to Overpowered, Ruby Blue is definitely on par with my favorite album of all time, I Am Not A Doctor AND SHE'S DOING THREE SONGS FROM IT AHHH *SHITS HIMSELF*)

I HAVE TO FLY TO EUROPE. NOW.

BEST SET LIST EVER BY THE WAY!

it was different in Lisbon

So I've already seen the Overpowered-tour 3 times this year, but I've got a ticket for her show in Amsterdam next month anyway because it's just sooo brilliant. But... I've never had the chance to see Moloko, since I was only like 13 when moloko ended and I never knew it back then. Now I have all the Moloko albums and the live-dvd and I had given up all hope of ever seeing them live... This setlist is beyond my wildest dreams!!

@Anonymous above me: funny, i have also seen the Overpowered tour 3 times, and never seen Moloko neither. Except that i was 44 when they ended! I have no excuse, i know.

By the way, i will be in Brussels next month :)

i knew Roísín would come up with something different, and this setlist is really a positive surprise! Mboy mentioned it was different in Lisbon, I'm curious... Can't wait to see Roísín again in Amsterdam. I saw all here solo gigs in Amsterdam and the last Moloko-tour which was awesome, but not comparable with her solo work. Therefore I think she'll be able to give the fenomonal Moloko songs a very special Roísín taste!

Hi all!
I'm watching Roisin in 4 days in Greece. I don't know half of the songs in the setlist. They must be really really old Moloko stuff.
Where is "the time is now", "forever more", "familiar feeling" etc. I was also kinda hoping she would add more songs from the overpowered album.
I moved my job schedule so that i can go. I hope it's worth it. I'm slightly dissapointed now.

Damn! This setlist is hard to understand. I'm sure the old fans will appreciate it. But what about the new ones?

PS why is she always ditching "time is now"?

Love her anyways.

exactly! :(

The set list may looks "strange" to some of you, but it's typically Roisin: no commercial compromise.

You all know than she's never where people are expecting her.

I'm sure than she will give a special treatment to these "old" songs, and for those who are afraid or disappointed, look at the clip "Trough Time" above. A pure wonder.

REALLY BAD ASS SET LIST: I just made the playlist for my iPod; OMFG it's like a homage to the past with a splash of all the NEXT LEVEL stuff yet to come.

It IS an interesting setlist, but it didn`t work that wel in Amsterdam last friday. She asked a lot from the crowd, which was quite big and not very well known with all her (past) work.
I think she wanted to win the crowd with first song Overpowered. I think it wasn`t enough. A long period of slower songs in a small setting followed. They even pulled the curtain to close off the stage halfway.
I really missed Forever More in the Francois K version like she did earlier this year in Holland. I think the setlist was out of balance, especially for this crowd.
