Roisin & Crookers live

This Friday Roisin and Crookers will perform in Newcastle Upon Tyne as part of the event In New Music We Trust Live, organised by the BBC.

The performance will take place at Digital nightclub and will be aired during Pete Tong's show, which starts at 21.00 hrs.

On another note, this morning I was meant to report on the Linda Farrow for Roisin Murphy party that took place last night. I was on the guest list for this event. However, due to poor organisation many people (myself included) were expected to queue for hours in the cold and rain. After nearly two hours I had enough and went home. Anyway, enough moans. Let's hope someone else can tell us what went on inside the club.

The lady has returned!

Last night Roisin made her first public appearance after giving birth to her daughter Clodagh. She attended Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief Haiti fashion show at Somerset House in London.

Crookers on working with Roisin

Crookers have spoken on their blog about what it was like to work with Ms Murphy: 

"When we were told there was a remote chance to work with Roisin Murphy for a track of the album, we couldn’t believe it and almost fell from the chairs!

Memories went back to our 20s, spending entire afternoons watchin MTV, waiting for the fantastic video made for Moloko’s Pure Pleasure Seeker! Love at first sight… Fantasy became reality and we realized it only arriving at the studio, where she was already working on the beat we had sent to her.

We were extremely tense and excited and to get over excitment we started drinking, but instead of just relaxing , we found ourself completely drunk looking like 2 morons. What impressed us the most about Roisin is that other than beautifully talented she is extremely professional!

We finished up Hold Up Your Hands before forcasted time and we still had the studio for a  couple of hours… We had another beat ready so we tried… Why not doing another track? She immediately agreed! In two hours we produced this second track that of course was immediately included in the album, which is Royal T.

We really enjoyed working with Ms Murphy and hope to collaborate with her again in the future. What’s going to come up from this we don’t know… but could really be a lot of fun!!! By the way we’re going to perform together in London this coming Sunday…" (see post below)

Linda Farrow party

London Fashion Week is about to start and this Sunday the sunglass brand Linda Farrow will give a party to celebrate the launch of their Roisin Murphy collection.

The event will take place at Aura in London's Mayfair. It will also mark Roisin's first public performance since becoming a mother a few months ago.

Royal T - Sticky K Remix

Music blog Gotta Dance Dirty has premièred the Sticky K Remix of the Crookers' song Royal T, which features Roisin. Her vocals are reduced to a minimum in this remix, but it is still worth checking out.

Murphy shades

Roisin will be working with the sunglass brand Linda Farrow for their upcoming autumn/winter collection.

Tracy Sedino from Linda Farrow told Grazia Daily the following:

In a few weeks we’ll be launching a little project for autumn-winter with Roisin Murphy. She’s just had a baby and is in Ireland recovering. She’s really amazing, we have a great relationship with her and she wears a lot of our glasses.

In October Roisin told WWD: "They’re very bling, in gold and platinum plating".
