H&M Designers against AIDS

H&M and Designers Against AIDS (DAA) have teamed up for the second year with some of the biggest celebrities for Fashion Against AIDS, to help fight the disease and raise youth awareness. This year Roisin Murphy is one of the artists who made a special design for the cause, which she is modelling on the picture above.

Other collaborating artists include Estelle, Cyndi Lauper, N.E.R.D, Robyn and Moby.

25% of the sales price of each garment will be donated to HIV & AIDS awareness projects. The whole collection will go on sale in H&M’s youth DIVIDED department from May 28, 2009.

Get the festival look with Fashion Against AIDS at H&M

May 20 sees the launch of H&M’s Fashion Against AIDS (FAA) collection, which in the past two years has raised over SEK 30 million to help raise HIV/AIDS awareness and fight the spread of the disease. This year, FAA has expanded to become a complete festival collection - perfect for one of the hottest looks of the summer. To celebrate the launch, H&M’s Head of Design Ann-Sofie Johansson has lots of tips for styling the perfect festival outfit. “The festival look for girls is bohemian and cool,” says Ann-Sofie, “Try wearing a pair of denim hotpants with an oversized tunic top with lace detailing, a pair of gladiator sandals and, of course, a tote bag to carry around all your necessities.” Meanwhile guys should go for a look with attitude. “Wear denim with a print T-shirt, a military style jacket and a trilby to top it all off,” she says. “It’s great to be able to offer our customers a complete festival collection with all the things you need for an ultimate festival experience!
