Roisin,

I did a polaroid of you at the backstage from Viktor and Rolf...

I thought that first song was called "Hold Up Your Hands" but apparently it's called "Royality" according to Arjanwrites.com... Anyway, I do love the music during the "don't have to break my arm" part. I've been obsessed with this track since seeing those videos on YouTube of her Burlectric appearance.

Demon Lover sounds very different to what I was expecting... it's strange hearing a guy (or guys?) rapping on a Róisín track... I mean, I'm not anti-rap but it's just unexpected! Obviously, as this is only a live snippet the studio version may sound completely different. I wonder if this is a Toddla T production because musically it sounds like something he would and he has people MCing / rapping on his tracks...

Antonio: That's a nice pic. I love how polaroids look, so old school ha! Reminds me of Golden Filter's visual schtick.

lee B is right, but isen`t seiji the producer of demon lover? could also be toddla t., both work with that way of sounds, look the work of seiji with buggz in the attic! anyway it`s just unexpected to me too and a new way of sound, it`s not bad but also not the best i heard so far, i prefer more the other song *royality* sounds really housy and dark!

let`s see how long we have to wait for a cd release!

Demon Lover... not that good, really. the first one is much better.

I must admit I'm annoyed by the guys voice in Demon Lover. I don't want rap on Roisin songs. -_-
Thanks for posting. ;)

yeah, the rap part is crappy. i mean, perhaps it woudl've worked had it been some good rapping, but this sounds... and is she serious about this being first single? perhaps with different production.

seriously, i'm a bit dissapointed.

Okay so having listened to Demon Lover a few times I have decided I really like it raps an' all! Can't wait to hear the proper studio versions of these tracks!

To the person about Seiji: Could be! It sounds like something they both could've produced. I said Toddla T because when Róisín first mentioned Demon Lover she mentioned another track (Billionaire I think) that she did with Seiji... from the way it was worded it sounded like there was this track (DL) which she worked with somebody on and then she did a track with Seiji... that's how I understood it anyway.

The first rap does sound a lot like Dizzee Rascal ha! I prefer the 3rd rap part - the American sounding one.

I'm impressed.

Both songs are really great, I was hoping that Roisin would move into a more Deep-House/Dub-Club vibe with her new material.. and my expectations were correct! I liked both of these songs instantly, Demon Lover is such a throwback to Roisin's Moloko days. The rapping was a nice touch.

I think that Momma's Place still remains me favourite for the time being out of her new tracks however.

What I like most about Roisin's new material is that it sounds mature, but still really club orientated. What she's producing just now is different that anything else around. I have a feeling her new record is going to be my favourite yet.
